Purdey & The Boys
CH & IR CH AURICHALCUM THE AVENGER JW (hipscore 5/6=11)
Purdey, orange/white, born January 2003, is the first full champion titleholder in both the UK and Ireland since 1984. She is out of our liver/white girl Rio, who can be seen on the 'older girls' page. Purdey has won 4 CCs, 2 RCCs, several Green Stars and CACIBs to date, as well as her Junior Warrant, and she completed her SGWC in the UK, and again in Ireland, as well as then gaining her WGC in early 2008 (the first pointer bitch to do so, and only the second pointer after her father Ch Crookrise Hi-Jack). She is a larger than life character, full of fun and mischief, but very loving too. She is a willing showgirl, but her heart is in her working career, never happier then when out in the shooting field.
AURICHALCUM LORD BECKETT OF CASTLEPOINT (hipscore 6/8=14)
Beckett is Purdey's son, and he is co-owned with Catherine Sellin of the Castlepoint GSPs. He was born on 26th January 2008 and has already been very successful in the showring. During 2009 he won a CC (to add to the RCC he won as a puppy), 6 green stars (4 with BOB, twice winning the group, a group 2 and group 3), in Amsterdam he won a CACIB & CAC, and in Belgium (his first show on the continent) he won the CACIB/CAC, BOB, then went on to win Group 1, and then went BIS. He has since been shown once in The Netherlands, and won another CACIB/CAC, including the title of Amsterdam Winner 2009. His training in the field is going well, and he is showing plenty of early promise - just time and experience needed, although he has already attained his SGWC.

Or Nando as he is known at home! Nando joined our family in March 2009. He was bred in Portugal, and has a half italian pedigree. He is a handsome young orange/white dog, born March 2008. He is settling in very well, and has proven to be a delightful character with a very sweet nature. It is hoped that he will be worked and that his bloodlines will be of value to us. Nando was sparingly shown during 2009, but won 6 junior classes, and he won the CC at Blackpool Ch Show, and Best Dog and the DGS at the European Winners Show in Dublin - so he's had a fantastic start to his show career. We were very fortunate that his breeder Rui Oliveira was generous enough to allow Nando to come and join us. During 2009 Nando also produced 3 beautiful litters of gorgeous puppies - one of which was out of Purdey (above) . We've kept a daughter - Vienna (see younger girls page).
